Silk & Suds is a boutique launderette concept from South East Queensland, opening its first location in South Ripley with Kenmore and Wavell Heights to follow. Its whole idea is to make laundry something to look forward to instead of a chore: crisp white linens, cane baskets, lustrous benchtops and a space where you can sit with a coffee and a book while the wash, dry and fold takes care of itself. The brand, created by Kristen Harris of The Ink Garden, is soft, romantic and quietly confident, and the website needed to feel the same, with generous space so the brand's softness and the warmth of the space could lead.
We designed a single-page Squarespace website that reads like a love letter to laundry, moving gently from the story behind the concept to a first look inside, the practical details of the fully automated, cashless model, and the plans for new locations. Custom code and subtle animations bring it to life as you scroll, so the page feels as considered as the launderette itself. With investment enquiries now a key focus, the site gives Silk & Suds a polished home to share its vision with future partners as it grows into new neighbourhoods.
